The role you’ll contribute:
Installs, maintains and repairs domestic water pumps, water piping lines, water filters and plumbing fixtures • Repairs and maintains steam stations, valves, heating and condensate return stations, and sewer and storm drains • Maintains the piping and supply of cylinder and bulk medical gas systems • Assist in operation and general maintenance of painting, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems. Performs essential repairs and other duties as requested • Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs plumbing, mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and piping as scheduled or needed under general supervision • Responds to in-house Work Orders and PM’s on daily basis, and in a timely manner • Under general supervision may be required to respond to emergency calls • May be required to take call in accordance with facility in a timely manner • Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs. Maintains record ensuring compliance with TJC, Federal, State and Local regulations and standards. Responsible for keeping current on maintenance logs • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Ability to assist trade personnel and contractors as necessary to coordinate repairs to plumbing • Able to communicate in English • Must have the ability to document records neatly and accurately • Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies • Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner • Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form • Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes • Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment • Basic Microsoft office computer skills
REQUIRED: • High School Education or GED • Two years of maintenance experience
PREFERRED: • Three years of healthcare maintenance
