Position Summary: Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician for the University Public Safety, Emergency Services.Among the key duties of this position are the following:Works independently or as a member of a team on the New Brunswick/Piscataway campuses, but may be assigned to alarm system equipment on all Rutgers properties throughout New Jersey as determined necessary by the Fire Alarm Bureau Manager.Performs a wide range of duties, including but not limited to preventative inspection activities, unplanned emergency repairs and system equipment troubleshooting.Performs system software programming of all fire alarm safety equipment utilizing the equipment manufacturer's proprietary softw
