Responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing doors, jambs, closers, handicap operators, exit devices, locks, electrified door hardware, and associated door hardware; consults with customers to help solve keying issues; supervises and trains other lock and key services shop personnel on locks, safes, keying systems, lock installation and procedures; reviews projects and specs; completes estimates; assists with classroom pool locks, and reviews R&R projects. Performs other duties as assigned; works 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Lock and Key Services Shop; subject to 24-hour emergency call in.

High School Graduate or GED certificate, or equivalent education/or experience. Competent on word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledgeable of Keying system. Two years of experience in commercial or residential carpentry and/or two years of experience in fabrication and installation of cabinets and door and door assemblies. Ability to use hand and power tools. Have 2080 hour of locksmith training or equivalent or proof of locksmith certification documentation from a reputable school.
Experience with all types of door hardware, installation, and repairs on wood and metal doors; experience with handicap operators. Valid driver's license; knowledge of safety procedures; requires successful completion of a background check.
Target Salary: $17.29 - $25.93 Hourly
