Installs, maintains and repairs door hardware and the operation of all parts of doors, inclusive but not limited to latches, lockset, core, closers, handles, pivots, frames, actuators, buttons, mullions, thresholds, weather stripping, and automatic operating devices. Attends meetings; reviews building and renovation project keying design, blue prints and door hardware schedules; Leads and provides training to lower classification personnel on installation and maintenance procedures; maintains daily time records; requisitions materials; maintains work area; performs other duties as assigned; 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., but is subject to changes in shift, hours, days, and/or location as operations dictate; may work overtime; subject to 24 hour emergency call.

4th grade education or higher; 300 hours of training in locksmithing (or three months of experience); 100 hours of training in carpentry (or one month of experience); one course in supervision (or one month of experience); or equivalent. Valid driver’s license.
