The Maintenance Supervisor performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance, repair tasks and performs routine and emergency maintenance to all YOS and YOP properties. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing the direction for all preventative maintenance and building service activities.
Assists in the development of the annual budget.
Tracks expenses by the suppliers, equipment usage and purchase orders
Responsible to ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, local, state and regulatory programs. Coordinates with the Risk Management Committee for training, department audits and corrective action procedures.
Landscaping maintenance and snow removal at YOS properties
Moving and removal of furniture at YOS’ offices and 24-hour sites
Completes monthly Safety Inspections of six offices
Monitors work completed by contractors on Agency properties
Conducts minor repairs including painting, minor electrical and plumbing
Maintains departmental staff, including recruiting, training, counseling, discipline, monitoring and appraising job performance
Conducts mail run 2 times a month between six YOS’ offices; 4 times a month between two main offices
Availability to respond to after-hours emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
Other duties as assigned
Three to five years as a supervisor
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required
5 years of experience and working knowledge of building and construction trade relative to facility and equipment maintenance and repair including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and locksmith
Knowledgeable in OSHA safety rules and ADA requirements
Full competence in computer skills, written communication Microsoft Office, email and the ADP payroll system.
