Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Manager of Identity & Access Management to report to the Director for Identity & Access Management Services (IAM). This position is responsible for overseeing the delivery of identity and access management service solutions to key RU/IP&O initiatives including: framing and analyzing complex problems, making realistic recommendations, supporting the implementation across the campus level, and playing a key role in influencing senior management to move the business services to action. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Directs the successful initiation, coordination, and execution of multiple complex design and/or IAM projects.
Convenes all university participants, clients, and outside vendors, and keeps them well informed and involved throughout the life of a project. Develops, interprets, and communicates policies and practices for differing needs of a diverse client population.
Accounts for major project decisions, metrics, and client satisfaction.
Represents the interests of the university and its client groups by the timely review of design and project documentation, contract deliverables, and capital expenditures.
Creates guidelines and has broad responsibility for process management.
Provides highly creative solutions to unusually complex problems.
Demonstrates leadership role in forming and maintaining productive working relationships.
Negotiates fair and reasonable prices for all necessary services and evaluates project pay requests.
Provides substantial input to decisions and supervises all vendor activities.
Works under minimal supervision and uses independent judgment to accomplish objectives.
Completes various other tasks and duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of CCTV, locks, burglar alarm systems and card access systems.
Also requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in the Access Management field and demonstrated proficiency in project management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have excellent communication skills and computer literacy to include industry standard software systems.
Must have a clear working knowledge of keys and key systems ( Medeco, Yale, Russwin, Schlage, and Best} to include writing, keying, designing, and implementing.
Requires a clear working knowledge of Burglar alarms, to include setting up, design, implementation, and maintenance.
Must have a clear understanding of various access control systems, to include design, implementation, programming, management, maintenance, and software.
A clear understanding of various CCTV systems to include, design, camera selection, implementation, maintenance, service and management of said systems required.
Must have training in CCTV formal training to include design, plotting, networking, software and maintenance.
Access Control training to include design, power, functionality code, enterprise systems, management and maintenance required.
Must have working knowledge of ADA code when installing or plotting above mentioned systems.
Must be familiar with the design, installation, programming, maintenance and management Intrusion alarm systems- wireless and hardwired, Access control systems, CCTV – analog, lP and wireless systems and keys/hardware -design of building hardware, setting up master key systems including coding applicable to implementation.
Burglar Alarm License
Excellent communication and data management skills, and computer literacy (Microsoft Office) preferred.
